How to find your way around the new terminalThere are two columns with monitors (2) on the right and on the left in the arrival lounge, providing information on arrivals and the doors which passengers from each flight will be coming out of. The number of doors has been cut down after complaints from the tourist guide sector, who rarely managed to find all of their group. Four new lifts (3) will connect the lobby with the parking lot, which is not entirely finished yet. Once you come to the 19 luggage conveyor belts a good dosage of patience is needed before suitcases and bags start appearing, having travelled a full kilometre from the current landing sites. It takes about a half an hour to get one's luggage. Obviously, it is a good idea to take advantage of that time to get a hold of a carriage for your suitcases. WARNING: Due to the fact that the luggage falls onto the belts from a considerable height (those who know the ins and outs of the scene mention up to 9 metres) you are seriously advised not to carry china or anything similar in your luggage. The new terminal does have one great
advantage though: the most renowned international car rental companies
can be found in the arrival lounge. Hasso-Car has its own counter now.
